Top 20 Options Traded
at eOption in December 2021
January 3, 2022
The December holiday season continued the theme of market volatility attempting to assess the impact of the Omicron COVID variant. All eyes were on the Fed expecting a more hawkish tone going into 2022 with interest rates. S&P, Dow and Nasdaq all saw multiple pullbacks earlier in the month but all ended with positive gains by the final day of trading. S&P wrapped the 2021 year up 27%
As always, big tech remains the popular trade at eOption. Electric Vehicles (EV) continues to also take the spotlight. We saw Pfizer take greater interest related to Omicron. Chip makers Marvell and Micron also make it back into the top 20 riding on the coattails of Nvidia.
