Top 20 Options Traded

at eOption in March 2022

April 5, 2022

Inflation accelerated for another month into March. The Russian invasion of Ukraine intensifies and the debate continues on if the Fed is doing too much or too little to prevent a recession.   And yet “hope springs eternal” as the markets see a reason for optimism and prevent a 3-month slide.  We saw all three major indices improving in March.

Each month at eOption, we see significant volume in the EFT options.  SPY, QQQ, VXX are actively traded.  This month, we are focusing on the top equity options traded in eOption accounts.

Nasdaq symbols are heavily traded in the month with a rebound in tech prices after a two month correction.  Market share of chip maker AMD takes a hit.  Tesla, Nio, Ford and Exxon are in play as gas prices continue to surge.  On a similar theme, US Steel continues its upward trend as steel prices are impacted by the war in Ukraine.

Upstart Holdings, and AI lending platform, and DataDog, a cloud-platform monitoring company crack the top 20.

Below are the most active 20 equity symbols based on the number of option trades in eOption accounts in March 2022.  Note that we do not make trade recommendation but are sharing this for your interest.
